The York County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the creation of the Lee Kassler Skilled Trades and Career Pathway Scholarship Endowment. Lee Kassler has dedicated his career to service, education, and helping others discover their potential. After graduating from Manchester High School in Connecticut, he served in the U.S. Navy as a radio operator, completing multiple deployments. He later earned a degree in Electronics from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, followed by bachelor's and master's degrees in Technical Education from Northern Arizona University. Throughout his career, Lee has inspired countless students through hands-on learning and a passion for teaching. He taught woodworking at Coconino High School in Flagstaff, Arizona, and later at Rockville High School in Connecticut, creating memorable learning experiences and lasting relationships with students along the way. In 2008, Lee brought his expertise and vision to York County Community College, where he taught CAD and Architectural Engineering courses. He was also instrumental in establishing YCCC's Precision Machining and Advanced Manufacturing & Design (ADM) programs, helping create pathways to rewarding careers for students across our region. The Lee Kassler Skilled Trades and Career Pathway Scholarship Endowment recognizes Lee's ongoing impact on students, the college, and the skilled trades workforce as he continues to inspire others at 85 years young. Scholarship support will help future generations of students pursue education and training that lead to meaningful and rewarding careers.
